Setup

Follow these steps to get started with your Absolute Zero Plunge.

Set up Your Filtration

Step 1 of 11

Particle Filter Union

Tape both sides of the steel union with the provided thread tape. Wrap the tape tightly 2-3 times around on each side. Thread taping tutorials can be found online if more help is needed.

Step 2 of 11

Particle Filter Camlock D

Thread the steel union into the outlet of the particle filter. The direction of flow is marked with an arrow. Attach the type D camlock to the opposite end of the union. Tighten firmly. If using a wrench, use care not to over tighten as the plastic can be cracked.

Step 3 of 11

Particle Filter Camlock F

Tape the type F camlock wrapping the threads tightly 2-3 times. Thread the type F camlock into the inlet of the particle filter.

Step 4 of 11

Insert Particle Filter Cartridge

Insert the filter cartridge into the filter housing. Tighten the top firmly ensuring that the filter stays centered.

Step 5 of 11

Attach the Particle Filter

Attach the outlet of the particle filter to the inlet of the chiller using the camlock quick connection. Insert the retaining clip into the holes of the camlock near the pivot of the handles as shown here.

Step 6 of 11

UV Filter Bulb

Plug the UV filter bulb into the provided power cable. Be careful not to touch the glass portion of the bulb as much as possible. Insert the bulb into the UV filter and secure it with the black cap provided on the power cable.

Step 7 of 11

UV Filter Elbow

Tape the steel elbow, and the inlet and outlet threads of the UV filter. On the wire side of the UV filter wrap the tape 3-4 times. On the opposite side wrap 7-8+ times to secure the connection tightly without the UV filter housing hitting the chiller - see following steps.

Step 8 of 11

UV Filter Camlock D

Attach the type D camlock to the taped end of the elbow. Thread this entire assembly onto the inlet of the UV filter (opposite end from the power cord). The connection should be fully tightened when it's perpendicular to the UV filter. If it is not, refer to the previous step adding additional wraps as needed.

Step 9 of 11

UV Filter Camlock A

Attach the type A camlock to the taped outlet of the UV filter (wire side).

Step 10 of 11

Attach UV Filter

Attach the UV filter to the outlet of the chiller using the camlock quick connection. Add the retaining clips into the holes near the pivot of the camlock handles as shown here. If the filter is not at the correct angle with the elbow connection fully tightened you may need to add additional tape on that connection until the elbow locks down tight around 90 degrees.

Step 11 of 11

Attach Hoses

The hoses attach via the quick connects the same as with no filtration. Push the connection in until the arms of the quick connection are open, then pull each handle down to seal the connection.
